ASL Caribe Access LLC · Booking portal

Effective October 1, 2026 · Updated October 9, 2026 · booking.aslcaribeaccess.com

ASL Caribe Access LLC ("ASL Caribe Access", "we") provides sign language and spoken language interpreting services in Puerto Rico. This policy explains what information the booking portal collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept. It applies to the portal, to the on-demand interpreting QR codes, and to the notifications the portal sends.

Text messaging (SMS): We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See section 5.

1. Our principle: we do not store health information or information about the Deaf person

The portal exists to schedule and bill services. It does not ask for or need the name, health condition, diagnosis, record number or any other information about the Deaf person, patient or participant who receives the interpretation.

Instruction for hospitals, clinics and agencies: do not enter patient names, medical record numbers, diagnoses or any other protected health information (PHI) in the portal. Use the booking number or an internal reference that only your institution can link to the person.

Interpreting video calls are not recorded by the portal. Messages typed in the call chat are not saved: they are only shown during the call and are deleted when it ends.

3. How long we keep it

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent information. We only share what is needed with the providers that run the service:

We may also disclose information when required by law or court order.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Text messaging (SMS) and mobile information

ASL Caribe Access LLC sends SMS (and, where enabled, WhatsApp) service notifications from its booking portal: interpreting assignment notices, appointment reminders and on-demand interpreting call alerts. These are not advertising. We only send texts to users who opt in by checking the optional, unchecked-by-default consent box when requesting an account or in "Mi cuenta" (My account). Consent is not a condition for using the portal or our services. See how users opt in.

Information we collect for text messaging: your mobile phone number, the date and the place (account request form or "Mi cuenta") where you gave consent, and a record of the texts we sent you (date and delivery status).

How we use it: only to send you the service texts you asked for, to answer HELP requests and to stop texting you when you reply STOP. We never use it for marketing.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our text message provider (Twilio) receives your number only to deliver our messages.

6. Hospitals and HIPAA covered entities

The portal is designed not to receive protected health information. If your institution is a HIPAA covered entity and needs a business associate agreement (BAA) for interpreting services, contact us before using the portal.

7. How we protect information

No system is 100% secure. If a security breach affects personal information, we will notify affected individuals and the authorities as required by Puerto Rico Act 111 of 2005 and other applicable laws.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to see, correct or delete your account information, or to close your account. Email us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Minors
